Nel 2014, 15.582 persone hanno scelto SantAndrea come proprio Luogo del Cuore al censimento nazionale promosso dal FAI - Fondo Ambiente Italiano in collaborazione con Intesa Sanpaolo. Sulla spinta di questa mobilitazione è nato il progetto di valorizzazione della Basilica, promosso dal Comune di Vercelli e sostenuto dalliniziativa "I Luoghi del Cuore", che ogni due anni consente ai cittadini di segnalare al FAI i luoghi del Patrimonio che amano e che vorrebbero vedere protetti e valorizzati. La visita al monumento è arricchita oggi da un innovativo sistema di segnaletica immersiva, che combina lesperienza reale con la tecnologia digitale, offrendo contenuti aggiuntivi e approfondimenti, realizzati in collaborazione con la Soprintendenza Archeologia Belle Arti e Paesaggio per le Province di Biella, Novara, Verbano Cusio Ossola e Vercelli e con il Segretariato regionale del Piemonte del MiBACT.

Almost 16,000 people voted for SantAndrea in the eighth edition of the Italian places I love Survey of 2014 .Promoted by FAI - Fondo Ambiente Italiano (the National Trust for Italy), in collaboration with one of the major Italian banking groups, Intesa Sanpaolo, the survey takes place every other year and it allows the public to vote for places in Italy they would like to save, protect and enhance. Building on the momentum created by the many votes cast in this Survey, a project for the enhancement of the Basilica was presented by the Municipality of Vercelli and then supported by the Italian Places I love project. Today, the visit to this monument profits from an innovative immersive signage which combines the physical experience with digital technology, offering additional contents and in-depth analyses. This has been made possible also thanks to the contribution of the Superintendency for Cultural Heritage of the Province of Biella, Novara, Verbano Cusio Ossola and Vercelli, and the Piedmont Regional Secretariat of MIBACT, the Italian Ministry of Cultural Affairs.
